Because everyone loves to rag on Kinja.

1. Kinja iPad: While making a long post, you must open another tab to find a picture. When you come back to your post, the tab refreshes itself, deleting all of your progress.

2. Kinja iPad: Whenever I click on the small “GIF” icon to play a .gif, even though the gif plays, the annotation comment screen comes up. Every time.

3. When you and a few other users publish a post at around the same time (maybe a 5-minute window) but yours was at the beginning, so it gets pushed near the bottom of the page. Your recent post becomes not so recent.

4. An post that is above your post has a thumbnail that is like 10x bigger than your thumbnail, so your post is almost completely blocked out.

5. Post failed to save. Ironically, it did while I published this.

6. Image upload error.

7. When an image uploads, instead of spanning the width of the post, it comes up on the left side, about 1/4 the size that it should be. This is especially annoying when you’re trying to put text near it, but it either “wraps around” the image, or all the text is at the top right side of the post, while all the images are on the left side.

8. When you click on an annotation circle at the bottom of a picture, it pinpoints the exact point in the picture, in a box that is about 10% the size of the picture. You know exactly what they’re referring to. However, when that annotation is in the comments, the annotation is about 70% the size of the original picture, causing some possible confusion.

9. Why oh why can’t you upload videos directly from the device?

Hell yes to the first one. It’s the worst. It also happens on iPhone as well.

10. The “pile of hot garbage” comment organization method they use. Comments to posts should be more easily distinguishable from comments to comments to comments to posts.

11. Random repetition of a post to the end of a post. This seems to happen when you paste something of hit return.

12. Inability to delete double posts, especially when Kinja decides it needs to be repeated.

On your iPad problems, I thought it was the antiquity of mine (iPad 2) that was causing my problems. This was oddly a bit of a relief...
